Access Description: From Shabaqua on Hwy17 travel 1 km south on the Shabaqua Road to Shabaqua Corners Road. Travel 2.9 km to the end of Shabaqua Corners Road crossing the CN rail line. Turn west onto Haner Road and travel 2.1 km. Turn north onto a secondary haulage road and travel 1.3 km to the Wedge Zone just north of a creek. Continue to km 2.5 to access the area of drilling for the Creek Zone. The Creek Zone is under the creek.
Pre 1940: numerous pits and trenches were excavated on the Kaspar gold showing and examined by M. W. Bartley in 1940 who obtained grab samples of quartz stringers containing arsenopyrite, pyrite, and visible gold mineralization from some of the trenches with assays up to8.5 g/t Au. 1944: Sylvanite Gold Mines Limited optioned the Kasper Occurrence conducting detailed mapping and sampling, trenching along a strike of 2,000 feet (606 m). 1973: Area mapped by Fenwick and Weinstock. 1976: Noranda carried completed linecutting, geological mapping, soil sampling plus magnetic and EM surveys over the Greek and Wedge Zones. 1982: Noranda completed geological mapping over the Kasper and Creek Zones. 1983: Lacana Mining Company carried out geological mapping, a VLF–EM survey and re-sampling of the Kaspar trenches from which they obtained samples which assayed up 0.4 g/t Au. 1988: JET Mining Exploration Inc. completed a Terraquest airborne magnetic and VLF-EM survey centred on the Kaspar showing. 1991: Ontario Geological Survey released an Aerodat regional airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey over most of the Shebandowan belt. The results of this survey were re-compiled by Burt Consulting Services on behalf of RJK and used to generate a series of magnetic and electromagnetic anomaly maps. 1997: Avalon Resources Inc., and on behalf of Tyranex Gold Inc., who established substantial grids over the central and eastern parts of the current Wedge claims completing geological mapping, magnetic and IP Surveys, The area of the Creek zone is a gap in the geophysical coverage. 2003: RJK/Hinterland Metals completed10 diamond core holes for 1,773 metres over two phases of drilling. Phace 1 totalled 964 m and drill discovered the Creek showing. Phase 2 drilling totalled 809 m and drilled the Wedge and South zones. 2005: RJK/Hinterland contracted Geotech to fly a 483 line-Km VTEM/Mag survey over the Wedge property.

Sep 23, 2016 (Andrew Tims) - There are relatively few outcrops on the Wedge claim block, and most of those are on the northern Kashabowie Formation on either side of the Kaspar gold showing. Almost all of the mineralization hosting units of the Greenwater Formation are locally covered by up to 20 metres of overburden. Most of the information on the geology in the immediate area comes from observations on the recent diamond drill core.

Sep 23, 2016 (Andrew Tims) - The Kaspar showing consists of brecciated, sulphide-bearing magnetite-jasperoid iron formations as well as in veinlet swarms within the enclosing basalt and adjacent gabbro. The outcrop with an exposure of the Wedge showing is now covered but exposed what appear to be the contact between mafic and possible ultramafic volcanic rocks assaying up to 14.5 g/t Au. The Creek showing is in carbonate altered fine grained basalt a very small outcrop exposed underneath the roots of a tree along the creek. The Outcrop sample returned returned 11.4g/t Au.
