Point Location Description: Precise, Shaft Fl, just north of property symbol 32 near N-tp. Boundary.

Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: Drive 1.4km west of Hwy 62 on Hwy 7. Turn left and drive 1.2km to T intersection. Turn right and drive 0.6km. Walk 125m south from gate on left towards east edge of trees.



Exploration History

1917: Vein discovered by owner, Mr. Keene. 1918-19: Property developed by Canadian Fluorite Limited; H.C. Miller in 1943; and Millwood Fluorspar Mines Limited in 1944. 1950: Millwood drifted south into the Keene property on the 179-foot level of the adjoining Bailey mine. Prior to 1942 total production was estimated at 1,000 tons. Later production is recorded at 2,976 tons, not including ore taken from south end of Bailey drift in 1950. 1950: Millwood Fluorspar Mines produced 1,100 tons of ore. Total production was about 5,000 tons.
