Point Location Description: Precise, Southernmost of two shafts closest to property symbol 29.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: Drive 1.36 west of Hwy 62 on Hwy 7. Turn left and drive 1.2 km. Turn left and drive 320m. Walk 1.45km from gate (turnoff to Kirkpatrick Mine, at 330m on left, gate at 530m.
1909: Vein discovered by Donald Henderson and Chesley Pitt and mined by open-cut G.H. Gillespie, William Cross, and Stephen Wellington in 1910; L.L. Battle in 1911; and C.M. Bowman from 1911 to 1914. 1914: Bowman sank shaft to 65 feet and drove crosscut 40 feet. 1943-1951: Reliance Fluorspar Mining Syndicate Limited mined the deposit. Over a nine year period 43,244 tons of ore was mined.
