Point Location Description: Shaft FE just south of property symbol 48.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: From Hwy 62 and 7, drive 1.1 km west to Hastings County road #23. Drive north 5.1 km to a curve in the road. Walk 152 m west to the western boundary of the pit.
1837 to 1845: mine was in operation. Ore from the mine was brought to Madoc, where it was smelted in a blast furnace by Messrs. Seymour and Co. A GSC publication from 1866 reports that 400 tons of ore were removed. In 1900, 115 tons were shipped.
