Mar 22, 2011 (A Wilson) - The country rock is a hornblende-biotite gneiss with quartzo-feldspathic banding. A mixture of impure marble and pegmatite occurs within the gneisses.

Mar 22, 2011 (A Wilson) - Pyrite and chalcopyrite, with minor pyrrhotite and magnetite, occurs within the gneisses near the contact with the marble. A grab sample collected by the OGS in 1981 returned 760 ppm Cu from sulphidized gneiss.
