Access Description: The mine is at the south end of Salmon Trout Lake, on the east side of the stream that drains the lake. The working is reached by a short trail south from the Hybla-Monteagle Valley Road. The waste dump is visible from the road .

Feb 22, 2012 (A Wilson) - The zoned pegmatite is capped by rusty paragneiss, limy amphibolite and limestone tectonic breccia, all interbanded with granite and syenitic gneisses. The pegmatite is relatively flat-lying and consists of pink microcline perthite and quartz, both of which occur in large crystals and masses up to 15 feet in diameter.

Feb 22, 2012 (A Wilson) - A selected sample (R-77-65-3) of pyrochlore assayed 8.3% U3O8 and 610 ppm Th. A second sample (R-77-65-5) containing 2 cm masses of pyrochlore assayed 1800 ppm U3O8 and 740 ppm Th.
