Jun 30, 2011 (D Laidlaw) - Corundum occurs as scattered grains in bands ranging from 1 to 3 feet in with at each end of the pit. The northwest wall of the pit exposed corundum across a width of 55 feet. Corundum comprises between 1 and 2% of the outcrop.
