Amphibolite 1 Schist Host
Marble 2 Calcitic Adjacent
Syenite 3 Hanging Wall

Lithology Comments

Aug 22, 2011 (A Wilson) - Magnetite occurs in lenses along and near the contact between hornblende gneiss and marble. The contact strikes northeast and dips to the southeast 30-45°. Most of the magnetite occurs in a calcareous zone a short distance above the main contact. Two types of marble, calcitic and dolomitic, occur in the area.
