Apr 21, 2009 (A Wilson) - The main cut trends northeastwardlly and is about 200 feet long, 20 ft wide and 18-20 ft deep. It follows a pegmatite dike about 20-25 ft wide that cuts vertically through granite and hornblende gneiss. The gneiss is sharply drag-folded along the eastern side of the cut, but the gneisssosity generally strikes NE and dips 80-85° SE.

Apr 21, 2009 (B Wilson) - The mineralization is described as sparse. The main dike contains many inclusions of gneiss and is composed mainly of impure feldspar and quartz, biotite, muscovite, garnet, magnetite, martite and a few dark crystals and clots of euxenite. The pit to the southwest exposes a pegmatite dike that strikes northerly and vertically through granitic gneiss. This dike is about 20 ft wide and has a quartz core and microcline walls with admixed biotite and muscovite, ilmenite, magnetite, martite and garnet. Blocks of pink feldspar as much as 1 foot in diameter may have formed 25% of the bulk of the dike. As some of the pink feldspar contains 50% quartz, not much of it would have been rated No. 1.
