Feb 08, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - The Eye Lake North occurrence is based on reports of anomalous gold mineralization in mafic to intermediate metavolcanic rocks containing pyrite and pyrrhotite mineralized quartz-carbonate veins (Fogal and Higginson 1988). Mineralization at this location has been reported in outcrop and from diamond drilling, with the most notable assays including 1220 ppb Au from a surface grab sample and 0.024 oz/ton Au over 0.6 m in ddh EL-87-5.
