Province: Superior

Subprovince: Sachigo

Terrane: North Caribou

Geological Age: Archean

Geology Comments

Mar 16, 2007 (A Wilson) - The stratigraphic section consists of Archean-aged, steeply dipping, mafic to felsic volcanic rocks with minor amounts of interflow sediments intruded by sills and small stocks of gabbro and granites. The volcanic units have been isoclinally folded to produce a weak to very strong foliation.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 01, 2014 (A Wilson) - A 12.5 m section of drill core returned 1.81% Cu, 0.01% Zn. Pyrite occurs as massive bands (1mm to 40 cm thick) as disseminations and in cross-cutting fractures. Chalcopyrite occurs as disseminations, blotches and in semi-continuous bands that may comprise up to 15% of the sample interval. Elevated silver values up to 17.6 g/t gold were returned over 1.5 m and the best gold value returned 1.135 g/t gold over 1.5 m. A 1.5 m section of core between 86 and 87.5 m returned 5.29% Cu, 0.02% Zn, 8.91 g/t Au and 0.143 g/t Ag.
