Geology Comments

Sep 19, 2012 (Nazha Sabiri) - Surface exploration in the Neoarchean “window” of the Doon Property targeted a potential gold bearing structure assumed to be the western extension of the CLLB. This major deformation zone has similarities with the CLLB in the Kirkland Lake area. The structures are both characterized by an East-Northeasterly-trending, steeply dipping foliation with well developed steeply plunging mineral and extension lineations. The metamorphism grad in the property ranges from sub-greenschist to lower amphibolite facies. Few small outcrops of fine to coarse-grained pegmatitic diabase represent Nipissing intrusive rocks. Overburden and reverse circulation drilling and till sampling on the south east part of the property had returned high gold value up to 23600 ppb.

Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Mafic lava flow-unsubdivided 1 Quartz-Ankerite-Fuchsite Polyhedral Jointing, Brittle Deformation Host
Wacke 2 Quartz,Feldspar, Carbonate, Sandstone Massive, Angular Clast Near
Conglomerate 3 Chert, Porphyry, Chlorite-Riche Cement Polymictic, Rounded And Deformed Clasts Adjacent

Lithology Comments

Sep 19, 2012 (Nazha Sabiri) - Arkose with clastic texture, graphitic slip structures with minor quartz/carbonate veins, feldspar clast up to 2 cm, fewer quartz biotite with chloritic fragments and trace disseminated pyrite, graphitic shale laminated at 60º to CA with increasing quartz/carbonate veining. Intercalated graphitic shale and lesser arkosic section. Massive greywacke, with angular quartz fragments, sandstone sections, quartz/carbonate section up to 50%, laminated siltstones with sharp lower contact. Nodules of pyrite up to 10 cm in diameter and carbonate-filled breccia zone. Polymictic conglomerate, amygdaloidal basalt, polyhedral jointing, leucoxene with intense brittle deformation, komatiitic fragmental, spinifex-textured clast, strong foliated sections 60º to CA. Milky quartz veinlet at all angle to CA possible albitisation? Dolomite, antigorite and talc rich section, hydrothermal breccia veins and mafic dike.
