Date: Aug 07, 2014
Geologist: P Bousquet
Notes: The outcrop has a grey surface and has many characteristics that are shared with a banded iron formation (bands, contorted). It is not magnetic. The schistosity is average to high with minor veinlets, 258oN, subvertical. The presence of quartz-carbonate veins is noted. On the fresh surface, the rock is black green and should be an amphibolite.
