May 29, 2018 (Andrew Tims) - Located within a sheared mafic volcanic, the occurrence consistsof a highly gossanous and brecciated horizon, approximately 1.5 m wide, highly silicified and carbonatized, accompanied by quartz stockwork, 2-5% disseminated to patchy pyrite, trace chalcopyrite, and finely disseminated magnetite. The area was hand-stripped across 5 m, and a suite of five grab samples were collected. Three samples provided anomalous values ranging from 185 to 300 ppb Au. The zone appears roughly coincident with a 2 km long "siliceous graphitic iron formation" previously indicated on geological government Map 2107 (Walker 1967), but the lateral extension of this horizon was not observed anywhere else on the property.
