Oct 11, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - The swamp trench consists of pillowed to massive basalt. This unit is aphanitic, dark green and consists of large pillows in the western half of the outcrop which give a topping direction toward the west. Pillows range from 0.1 to 1.5 m. Quartz-carbonate fills the pillow selvages which are up to 2 cm wide. The eastern half of the outcrop is massive basalt (AFRI 2.56730).

Oct 11, 2017 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Swamp target is located in the nose of the Shingwak Lake Anticline, approximately 3 km northeast of the Pipestone-Cameron Fault (PCF), and was designed to test an MMI anomaly. The trench is 59 m long, oriented between 040 to 080 degrees, and dominated by pillowed mafic volcanics. The trench exposed a 4 m wide zone of brittle-ductile shearing with moderate pervasive carbonate, sericite, and silica alteration. Of the six one-meter samples taken, five returned results between 0.227 g/t and 0.723 g/t Au over 1 m (AFRI 2.56730).
