Feb 21, 2013 (A Wilson) - Bois Blanc cherty limestone overlies Bertie dolomite in the quarry face. Selective quarrying is applied. Oriskany sandstone is quarried separately and sold for use in cement production. Shaly dolomite is stripped to prepare for mining 12-15 feet of brown dolomite.
Feb 21, 2013 (A Wilson) - The stone is used aas crushed stone, armour stone and gabion stone.
