Access Description: Dot symbol AP, between St George Lake and Hawley Bay on Sharbot Lake.
1885 Mr. Boyd Smith opens phosphate mine, operates until 1891 and produced about 1500 tons .Several pits opened. One pit measures 70 m long x 12 m wide x 15 m deep and another measures 31 m long x 8 m wide x 22 m deep. Apatite occurred as a apatite-calcite-pyrite-pyroxene vein at the contact of marble and red gneiss rock units, (MRC 6).
