Circa 1866-9 : a galena-bearing quartz vein, opened up and a ' small quantity ' of ore removed. Said to ' hold a considerable but variable quantity of silver '.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A 3 ft wide quartz vein carrying galena and silver. The galena is said to occur in the gangue in small, irregular but somewhat abundant, bunches that are finer-grained than usual in the area.
