Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A reconnaissance peat site on a deposit which covers 292.22 ha. The samples covered the treed shrub-rich bog and hardwood swamp covertype, the latter having typically shallower peat depth, as observed in the Peterborough area. There is good road access and open bodies of water and large streams throughout the deposit. 70 % tree conopy density in the hardwood swamp areas. The deposit is on patented land.
