Lithology Comments

Feb 01, 2017 (A Wilson) - A band of nepheline-biotite-feldspar gneiss extends northeastward for 2 miles from its southernmost appearance in a roadcut on highway 500, about ¼ mile east of Esson Creek. The nepheline gneiss is bordered on the northwest by granites of the syenite granite complex. To the southeast, the bordering rocks are paragneisses.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 01, 2017 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite consists of pink feldspar, less than 12 inches and none greater than 18 inches in diameter; black biotite books as much as 4 inches in diameter; black tourmaline crystals with a cross-section of 3 inches and rarely fluorspar.
