Point Location Description: Property symbol ' P ', 1 km w of Minnicock Lake.

Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: A short distance north of Stormy Lake and about 500 ft south of the location of a schoolhouse, beside the abandoned concession road. Also, 500-700 ft south of the road and south of this again (2 pits).



Exploration History

Pre-1910 : openings in several magnetite-bearing veins - for biotite (up to 6 inches), perhaps magnetite, too.

Geology Comments

Jan 23, 2017 (A Wilson) - Several well-defined veins carrying magnetite occur in a biotite-granite-gneiss. The largest vein has a maximum width of 4 ft and can be traced for 60 yds Magnetite constitutes about 50 % of the main vein. Specimens of magnetite and titanite from lot 28, con 15, are in the ROM.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 23, 2017 (A Wilson) - The vein matter is coarsely crystalline, and consists of pale pink calcite, with apatite, sphene, biotite, hornblende, orthoclase, and magnetite. The magnetite constitutes about 50 % of the vein.
