Jan 23, 2017 (C Papertzian) - Black mica (biotite) occurs in occasional patches or segregations in syenite. These are up to 2 ft in diameter, individual sheets of (broken) mica several inches across. Muscovite stringers are also present, and said to be associated with corundum.
Jan 23, 2017 (A Wilson) - Mica occurs as segregations or patches up to 0.6 m across. Individual mica sheets are several centimetres across.
