Lithology Comments

Sep 28, 2010 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite is hosted within massive to weakly foliated granite. On the southern edge of the pit, a raft of amphibolite overlies the pegmatite. The pegmatite consists of pink potassium feldspar and white quartz but a series of muscovite-rich pods also were observed.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 28, 2010 (A Wilson) - The muscovite is locally radioactive. Allanite and columbite-tantalite were observed at the site in 1932. Euxenite and monazite was observed at the site in 1962. Allanite, calciosamarskite, uraninite, thucolite, cyrtolite were observed in the pegmatite.
