Feb 22, 2012 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite consists of a coarse graphic intergrowth of quartz and microcline with occasional patches of microcline crystals up to 3 feet in length. Nodules of martite were common but did not assay greater than 1% TiO2. Euxenite occurs as masses up to 4 inches in diameter and is often associated with biotite, in microcline. The euxenite crystals returned 0.26% BeO, 0.05% ZrO2, 28.62% Cb2O3, 3.94% ThO2 and 24.31% (Yt,Er) 2O3
Feb 22, 2012 (D Laidlaw) - Euxenite occurs in a microcline-quartz dike with abundant biotite. In 1932 several carloads of feldspar bad been produced from the 12- to 20- foot wide dike.
