Aug 03, 2011 (A Wilson) - There is a lens of massive quartz in the middle of the widest part. The pegmatite is composed mostly of coarse-grained pink feldspar with some soda lime spar. Some smoky quartz and a little black mica up to 3 inches in diameter were observed. Magnetite or ilmenite masses up to 3 or 4 inches in diameter were observed. Red garnets are abundant in places. Some brownish crystals, probably allanite, up to 1 inch long were seen.
