Point Location Description: Property symbol ' K ', 1.25 km NW of Bronson.

Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: From Bancroft take Hwy 28 E for 3.68 km and turn right on to a dirt road. Park and follow the trail down the hill, cross the walkway over the beaver dam and continue along the trail (blazed). In a clearing take the second trail to the right.



Exploration History

Mineral location of high repute - cancrinite. A pit is located on the NW face of Cancrinite Hill. The workings are about 50 ft wide and 20 ft deep and partially covered by talus.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Patches of cancrinite and sodalite occur as replacement patches along fractures in a biotite-nepheline-plagioclase gneiss. There is some pegmatitic nepheline, sodalite and cancrinite. Magnetite, tourmaline, clevelandite, molybdenite and hydronephelite are accessories.
