May 03, 2011 (A Wilson) - The accessory scapolite is present in prisms that average 1 by 8 inches in size. An aggregate of coarse scapolite and disseminated flake graphite was exposed over a width of 1.5 feet in the western part of the trench. Graphite was also observed in adjacent outcrops of crystallized limestone. The graphite in these exposures is flake, approximately 0.5 mm in size and comprises about 2% of the rock.
