Access Description: A poor trail (the former mine road) leads about 1.6 km N from the abandoned CNR line. The trail can be reached by taking a canoe from the Aylen Lake road along the Aylen River.
Pre 1936 : prospecting and small pits. 1943 : worked for muscovite and feldspar by N.B. Davis (Canadian Flint and Spar Co Ltd). 690 lbs of rough mica was produced; 60 tons of potash feldspar and 100 tons of sodic feldspar were stockpiled.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A pegmatite sill, hosted in a black biotite-plagioclase gneiss, is zoned in the S 2/3 of its exposure, a coarse mix of quartz and feldspar to the N. There are small amounts of garnet, euxenite, monazite and columbite. Overburden partly obscures the workings and there is little outcrop in the area.
