Access Description: North from Mattawa on highway 533 from Mattawa river to Moosehead Road. Drive 5.3km to fork in road taking right fork (skidoo/ATV trail) for 2.9km to site. Large rock piles on either side of trail.

Jul 06, 2012 (A Wilson) - The dark grey gneisses strike northwest-southeast. Feldspar is contained within a pegmatite dike which strikes approximately N40E and cuts across the gneissic banding.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 06, 2012 (A Wilson) - The feldspar occurs in masses of crystals. Harding (OGS) suggested that pure feldspar might be obtained by hand sorting. More than half of the dike material consists of feldspar. Euxenite crystals in masses ranging from pea sized to 5 inches in diameter.
