Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is hosted within a zone of strongly foliated mafic metavolcanic, metasedimentary and granitoid rocks within the southern portion of the Bowman Lake Batholith. The sheared zone consists of chlorite and quartz-sericite schists hosting complex quartz vein systems. Locally, the schists from a lit-par-lit like texture which may represent a sheared migmatite zone.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Drill intersections colected by Sutherland et al. in 1965 returned values ranging from 0.07% Cu over 5.33 m to 1.14% Cu over 1.5 m. A chip sample collected by the OGS in 1977 returned 0.31% Cu and trace Au, Ag, Pb and Zn. Two grab samples collected by the OGS in 1977 returned 0.62% Cu and 0.45% Cu. Grab samples collected by the OGS in 1989 returned a best assay of 5800 ppm Cu.

Notes: Mineralization occurs in a 30 m wide, north-striking, steeply dipping, brittle-ductile shear zone. This zone is coincident with a regional lineament.
