Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (B Schnieders) - Mapping by Walker (Map 2107, 1967) indicates that the occurrence is underlain by gabbro-diorite near a contact with a mafic tuff. Harris (1984) reports that during the course of geochemical soil sampling, a 0.61 m wide quartz vein was found on the east side of Bottle Point on claim TB 651015, which may represent the occurrence rumore to have been prospected during the 1800's.

Dec 07, 2005 (B Nelson) - The occurrence is classed as a 'lode gold' deposit. Mapping by Walker (Map 2107, 1967) indicates that the occurrence is underlain by gabbro-diorite near a contact with mafic tuff. During the course of geochemical soil sampling, a 0.61 m wide quartz vein was found on the east side of Bottle Point on claim TB651015 which may represent the occurrence rumoured to have been prospected during the 1800s.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (B Nelson) - While this showing has not been accurately located in the past 20 years, the style of mineralization might be similar to the Prince Point occurrence. Three rock samples of the quartz vein were taken by Harris (1984) and returned the following: Sample TB101: 0.01oz/ton Ag, 0.001 oz/ton Au. Sample TB102: 0.01 oz/ton Ag, 0.001 oz/ton Au. Sample TB103: 0.01 oz/ton Ag, 0.001 oz/ton Au.
