Point Location Description: DDH S06-09 collar location in AFRI 2.38112
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: The property is located 40 km north of Jellicoe. An all-weather gravel road leads 62 km from Highway 11 to the property. The distance by road from the Propety to Beardmore is 103 km.
1974: Local prospectors N. Cox and D. Thorsteinson found malachite-cemented till near MacDonald Creek and staked claims. 1975: A syndicate comprised of Lynx-Canada Explorations Ltd., Dejour Mines Ltd., and Canadian Reynolds Metals Co. Ltd. optioned the property from the prospectors and staked further claims. 1975-76: The syndicate drilled 20 DDH totalling 1064 m in the area of the malachite-bearing tell and located the No. 1 Cu-Au-Ag zone. They optioned the Headway and Coulee claims and commenced an exploration program including EM and magnetometer surveys, prospecting, stripping, and a basal till sampling program. A second drill program of 55 DDH totalling 16,926 ft was completed. 1976-77: Legal action by the Dighem Syndicate caused cessation of work. Interests of Lynx and Reynolds in the southern half of the property were assigned to the Dighem Syndicate, which, in joint venture with Dejour Mines, carried out mag and HLEM surveys and geological mapping. Dighem Syndicate reassigned its interest back to Lynx and Reynolds in late 1977. 1978-79: R. DiLabio of the GSC examined the property and described the glacial dispersion train down-ice from the No. 2 Zone. He also recognized the presence of bismuth in the Cu-Au-Ag mineralization. 2004: Staked by L.H. Holt and N.M. Cox. 2006: Property optioned by Sage Gold. 2008: Sage completed the option agreement and purchased the property. Sage conducted an exploration program consisting of stripping and channel sampling, geological mapping, 15 DDH totalling 2,014 m, and a ground magnetic and horizontal loop EM survey. 2008: Sage drilled 71 DDH totalling 15,914 m.

Apr 30, 2015 (Therese Pettigrew) - The main Lynx (LX) zone is a pyrrhotite-pyrite-chalcopyrite-quartz horizon hosted in interflow tuffaceous sediments. This zone generally has a westerly dip ranging from 60 to 75 degrees and displays an “S” type fold symmetry along strike and to depth. The Lynx zones consist of a main horizon and up to three parallel horizons in a stratigraphic package which has been traced for a strike length in excess of 1 km. Three mineralized areas (Lynx North, Central and South) are stratigraphically and structurally related (Hubacheck and Kirkham, 2009). Three primary styles of mineralization have been identified at the Lynx deposit: 1) Quartz-pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite: Massive (1-2 m thick) and disseminated pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite mineralization occurs within 2-6 m thick quartz-carbonate exhalite horizons. Carbonate commonly displays a colloform banded texture. Silver occurs within the mineral tetrahedrite and gold values show a positive correlation with copper. Massive chalcopyrite and chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite may display banding parallel to bedding. Breccia textures have been noted in massive pyrrhotite zones. 2) Sulphide tuff: Thin pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite beds (mm scale) within calcareous ash tuffs. 3) Pillow selvage sulphides: pyrrhotite with variable amounts of chalcopyrite, calcite and quartz often occurs within basaltic pillow selvages and pillow interstices. The highest assay from the 2006 drill program on Lynx #2 came from DDH S06-09: 6.33% Cu, 112.60 gpt Ag, 2.25 gpt Au over 2.6 m (134.9-137.5 m). Other assays of interest include the following: DDH S06-09: 1.72% Cu, 45.6 gpt Ag, no Au over 1.1 m (88.6-89.7 m); DDH S06-13: 1.91% Cu, 44.4 gpt Ag, 1.55 gpt Au over 2.6 m (97.5-113.6 m) and 1.02% Cu, 26.0 gpt Ag, 0.63 gpt Au over 0.7 m (117.2-117.9 m); DDH S06-14: 1.18% Cu, 22.0 gpt Ag, 0.14 gpt Au over 0.5 m (37.5-38 m), DDH S06-14: 1.07% Cu, 16.0 gpt Ag, 0.58 gpt Au over 0.6 m (127-127.6 m) (AFRI 2.38112).
