Mar 23, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - The occurrence is located on the Johnson farm, Concession 6, Lot 4, Conmee Township. Bedrock is a fine-grained buff weathering felsic volcanic breccia consisting of moderately angular fragments, 1.25 cm in diameter to some measuring 17.8 by 10.2 cm. The felsic fragments are fine grained, cream to pinkish on fresh surface, partly epidotized, and weather to a chalky textured, buff coloured surface. The enclosing matrix material is very fine grained and dark grey in colour (Kustra, 1970).

Mar 23, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Chalcopyrite occurs as irregularly distributed patches and fracture fillings, in amounts 2-5%. A grab sample of the better mineralized material returned 0.04 opt Au (1.24 gpt Au), 0.63% CU and trace amounts of silver and nickel (Kustra, 1970).
