Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (R Tuomi) - In the area near Thomas Lake the felsic zone is approximately 1.5 km wide and is intruded by gabbro bodies conformable with the north to northwest trend of foliation. The felsics mapped include tuff, lapilli-tuff and tuff breccia with porphyritic to fine grained flows. At depth, quartz porphyry is common in most of the drill holes. Both surface and drill hole samples contain chloritoid and staurolite with pyrite and pyrrhotite. Kyanite been been found in at least 1 location.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (R Tuomi) - Union Miniere carried out extensive sampling of surface and drill rock as part of their program. Major, minor and trace elements were analysed from samples collected over a wide area and analysed by the best available methods. Gold was assayed to ppm and ppb levels of detection. The ppm level of analysis for gold was not adequate. One sample from drill hole DDH B-16 was assayed to contain 13.8 grams gold per ton. Several samples contained gold at the parts per billion level, giving values from 350 to 800 ppb gold.

Jul 27, 2022 (Q Unknown) - 1983 DDH #BE-9 (AF-0051,0019): section assays 410 ppb Au/12 ft at 448 ft. 1984 DDH #BE-10 (AF-0020-B1,0033-B1): section assays 610 ppb Au/1m at 275, hole is 350 m N of #9.
