1944: Marcus Gold Mines was incorporated. 1950: Drilled on this part of the property. 1952-55: 17 holes drilled, totalling almost 9600.0 m. 1960-64: Consolidated Marcus Gold Mines completed a 2.44 m x 2.75 m drift, 4429.5 m in length, and it was driven from the Cochenour Willans shaft onto the property on the 394.5 m level. Diamond drill stations were slashed every 150 m. 1956-1966: 3945.8 m were drilled from underground. Ground conditions in this portion of the drift forced the termination of the exploratory drill program. 1973: Magnetometer and electromagnetic surveys completed, 2 holes drilled totalling 306.2 m. 1980: Wilanour Resources Ltd. carried out mapping, prospecting, stripping, and ground VLF and magnetometer surveys.

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The prospect is underlain by silicified and carbonatized mafic volcanic flows. Thin interflow units of iron formation are also present in the sequence. Rock units strike NW-SE, and dip at about 30 to 45 degs to the SE. Thin talc-chlorite schist units (altered ultramafic flows) have been intersected in drill holes, and appear to be conformable with the mafic metavolcanic flows. Narrow, discontinuous lamprophyre dikes have also been observed. The rock sequence contains a minerlized narrow quartz vein (NO. 1 Vein) and several zones with mineralized quartz-carbonate veins in altered mafic metavolcanics (Zones 2 and 3).

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - NO. 1 VEIN: A narrow quartz vein, striking NW-SE and dipping about 30 degs DE was intersected by surface drilling. The vein has an average thickness of about 0.15 m. Three surface drill holes intersected the NO. 1 vein. Assay values obtained from sections of core are 0.68 opt Au/0.21 m; 0.30 opt Au/ 0.15 m; and 8.86 opt Au/0.12 m. NO. ZONE: The No. 2 zone strikes NW-SE and is up to 23 m wide. Gold mineralization occurs in quartz-carbonate veins in a zone of highly altered mafic volcanic rocks. The mineralized veins within the zone are quite narrow (average mineralized widths of about 0.7 m). Assays of drill core from the No. 2 zone are as follows: 0.10 opt Au/0.4m; 0.47 opt Au/0.3 m; 0.86 opt Au/0.15 m; 0.10 opt Au/1.4 m; 0.15 opt Au/1.25 m. NO.3 ZONE: The No. 3 zone strikes NW-SE and is comprised of narrow mineralized quartz carbonate veins in a broader zone of altered mafic volcanic rocks. The following assays have been reported from core samples of the No. 3 zone: 0.04 opt Au/1.5 m; 0.10 opt Au/0.4m; 0.22 opt Au/0.4 m.
Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The mafic volcanics containing the NO. 2 and No. 3 zones are silicified and carbonatized.
