Introduction

New Publications were released on .

The Ontario Geological Survey Publications (PUB) Database houses a large collection of geological reports, maps, and books that the Ontario Geological Survey (OGS) has published over the years. Clients have access to over 3000 reports and 10 000 maps and 650 data releases published by the OGS throughout its history. This collection is a valuable resource for geoscientists, mineral explorationist, land-use planners, academics, and others who require quality geoscience data specific to the province.

Format

In the Online search database, search results return metadata records of each publication and search within the text of all documents (PDF). All publications have been captured in digital format and items of interest can be immediately viewed, printed or downloaded.

Methods to View Data

The PUB database on the GeologyOntario application provides quick and effective access through an alphanumeric index allowing a search of the database by keywords.

The Geological Maps, Digital Data and Reports found on our OGSEarth page can also be viewed in Keyhole Markup Language (KML) format using Google Earth Opens in a new window or other applications compatible with KML.

The Publications database (PUB) can be viewed as a list. The list includes all reports, data and maps, with links to download the information. The page can be searched (within the web browser) for publication number, name, author, year, area, NTS and scale (where applicable).
NOTE: The page contains a large amount of information (over 18 000 records) and will take time to load completely. The AMIS, OAFD, ODHD and OMI are not included in this list.
