Apr 14, 2011 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite dike is 40 feet in width and strikes N80W. It cuts through biotite paragneiss. The dike shows pronounced zoning with a wall zone of graphic granite, an intermediate zone of potash feldspar and a quartz core. The gneiss comprises grey, andesine monzogranite displaying a layered structure and a metamorphic fabric. Pink alkali feldspar phenocrysts and garnet porphyroblasts are commonly observed.
