Access Description: Take Highway 566 to the intersection of the hydroline in the NE corner of Hutt Tp. Follow the hydro line south about 1.1 km to a point east of the occurrence outcrop and then traverse 300 - 400 m W through forest to occurrence area.

Aug 18, 2009 (A Wilson) - The area was mapped as pillowed andesite with 2 sheared zones, striking 320° and dipping 45° to the east. The area is underlain by ENE trending andesites, dacites and rhyolites. Most exposures are of massive to tuffaceous rocks with little sulphide mineralization

Apr 21, 2015 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected by Essex Minerals Co. in 1978 returned 0.67 oz/t gold, 3.4 ppm Ag, 61 ppm Cu, 33ppm Pb and 78 ppm Zn. Follow up sampling by Essex returned 0.08 oz/t gold from a stripped area. Both high assay values came from a 6 x 10 foot cap about 6 inches deep and consisting of heavily calcitized andesite. Assays from DDH 79-8 returned zinc values ranging up to 9200 ppm over 7 ft. A 2 ft section of drill core between 438 and 440 ft returned 0.10 oz/t Au, 1.9 ppm Ag, 2325 ppm Cu, 85 ppm Pb and 10450 ppm Zn.
Aug 18, 2009 (A Wilson) - Essex Minerals reports that a section of the occurrence outcrop has a heavily calcitized cap.
