Access Description: The occurrence is situated approximately 500 m south of the south end of Murphy Lake. It can be accessed by travelling down the old Murphy Mine access road/power line from the Algoma Central Railway for approximately 5 km and then overland to the site.
The vein system was reported by Gledhill 1927 and, at the time of writing, had been trenched and pitted.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence lies within the western domain of the Goudreau Lake Deformation Zone which is composed of 85 to 115 degree striking brittle and brittle-ductile high-strain zones displaying dextral oblique-slip displacement. The occurrence lies within intermediate to mafic metavolcanic rocks at the sheared margin of the trondhjemititc Gutcher Lake Stock. The vein has been segmented into 3 or 4 sections by right lateral offset across northeast-striking strike-slip faults.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The vein segments are reportedly bordered by mesocratic calcite-quartz-chlorite schist grading outward into hornfels. The vei is composed of several parallel small quartz veins lying close together.
