No. C39 Access; From The Intersection Of Highway 560 E & N In Gowganda, Proceed East For 2.5km To The Sandy K Mines Road, Then Turn North And Continue To Mileage 6.0km To The Mine Site Where The Road Turns To East. 1994 Assessment Reports Indicate 1 Foundation Of Unknown Function, 1 Two-compartment Shafts, 1 Raise To Surface, 2 Two-compartment Shafts, 2 Confined Tailings Areas, 1 Adit And Workings Near Surface Are Present On The Mine Site. There Are Five Building Foundations Which Are Not A Hazard. The Former Mine/exploration Workings Do Not Pose Any Danger Greater Than That In The Surrounding Area. Historical Documents Indicate That The Total Lateral Workings Include 6,323ft Of Drifts, 4,096ft Of Crosscuts And 1,915ft Of Raises.
