Operational Access Description: Access; Approx 2km Due East Of Downtown Madoc To The Pitt's Landing Turnoff And 1.15km South To Pitt's Farm. Shafts Are On East Side Of Road South Of The Campground (rv Park) Entrance And West Of The Road (southwest Of The Barn And West Of The Barn). Shaft #1 Is 340m West Of The Road, And Shaft #3 Is 69m East Of The Road. 3 Shafts Were Sunk In 1917-19 On A Talc Prosp; No.1 Is Inclined & 15 M Deep; No.2 Is 18 M Deep; No.3 Is 7.6 M Deep; Napanee Office Indicates The Pits Were Filled In (1983); However Ogs Ofr 5714 (1989) Indicates The Shafts Were Water Filled. The Year 1993 Survey Reports Five Shafts And Three Rockpiles. The Site Was Not Included In The Year 2000 Survey.
