Follow Lane 1.6km To Locked Gated Road On Left (rr278). Walk 500m North To Site. 1888-1890: 500 Tons Apatite Taken From Pits Up T0 10.7m Deep. 1942-1943: 645 Tons Produced. 1944-1945: Underground Development Carried Out. 1979: Shaft Fenced. Year 2000: Open Three Compartment Shaft Surrounded By Remains Of Old Hoist Structure, Fence Is Down On Two Sides; Two Open Pits Have Walk-in Access.
