Operational Access Description: Access: The Site Is Located On The South Shore Of The Western Portion Of Straw Lake, West Of Essox Lake, Approximately 115km West Of Dryden, Ontario. The Site Is Accessible By The Cedar Narrows Road West From Highway 502. The Site Is At The North Edge Of A Clearcut, Accessible From The Road, Or On The Lake, 1km West Of The Boat Launch On Cedar Narrows Road.
From 1934-1941 A Shaft Was Sunk 220m With 6 Levels And 1412m Of Lateral Work; From 1938-1941 33,662 Tons Of Ore Were Milled.
The Year 1993 Survey Reports One Shaft, One Vent Raise, The Foundations Of A Mill, Several Partially Collapsed Buildings, A Large Waste Rock Dump, A Small Garbage Pile And Iron Stained Tailings That Trail Downslope Of The Mill.
