The Creighton Mine Consists Of A Large Open Pit Associated With Extensive Underground Workings. The Mine Is Currently Divided Into Two Distinct Areas Of Operation, Each Named For The Shaft That Services The Particular Area. Creighton No.3 Mine Includes The Low-grade Upper Portion Of The Creighton Orebody While Creighton No.9 Mine Consists Of The Deeper High-grade Area. Creighton Mine Closure Area Encompasses 849 Hectares In Lots 9 And 10, Concessions 1 And 2 Of Snider Township, And Lots 1 Through 5, Concession 1 And Lots 1 Through 3, Concession 2 Of Creighton-davies Township. The Creighton Mine Is Accessed By A Paved Road From Regional Road 24 Through The Community Of Lively From Regional Road 55 Or East Along Regional Road 24 From Highway 144 Just North Of Highway 17 West. The Creighton Mine Is Covered Under The Closure Plan I12.
