Operational Access Description: Access; Take Hwy. 561 North From Bruce Mines, Past Ophir And West To Leeburn. Take The First Concession Rd. West Of Leeburn (bass Lake, Rd.,) North To The First Cottage Turn-off Which Proceeds Into The Southwest Corner Of The Lake And Ends Up At A Tourist Camp Between Two High Outcrop Hill. The Site Is Located Within 100 M. Of The Southeast Corner Of The Camp And The Rock Pile Is Visible From The Camp. 1919-22: Shaft Inclined 55 Degrees Sunk To A Depth Of 38 Metres With A Level At 15 Metres. Drifting Totaled 111 Metres. An Adit Was Driven 191 Metres. Work By Kirk Gold Mine Ltd.; Commodity: Gold And Copper. Historical Documents Show An Inclined Shaft, Raise To Surface And Several Structures, Which Do Not Appear In 2000 Inspection. Year 2000 Survey Reports 3 Adits And One Waste Rock Dump. Very Rugged Climbing. Inspected One Adit, The Other Two Are Inaccessible Without Climbing Gear.
