Circa 1924: Shaft(test Pit) Excavated By The Rochefort Mining Syndicate. The Present On The Snake Creek Occurrence Corresponds To The No.2 Shaft Of The Rochfort Syndicate Property (claim 1400).; Commodity: Silver, Gold, Copper, Nickel; Year 2000 Survey Reports The Exploration Shaft Feature Was Not Found In This Vicinity As Indicated On The Snake River Amis Data Sheet And Either It Was Mis-mapped Or The Field Crew Did Not Find It In The Limited Time They Had Due To Extreme Distance And Terrain Conditions To Get To The Site In One Day Traversing. There Are No Roads Or Access Other Than Walking Overland. Since The Shaft Was For Iron Prospoecting And The Area Is Close To Quinn River Drainage It Is Likely That Is Of Prospecting Type And Water Filled And Had Minimal Depth Since It Never Saw Production- The Feature Is Similar In Stature To The Rochefort Site To The South (a-7921)
