Operational Access Description: Access: From Searchmont, Starting At Gravel Road, Drive 4.7km To Station Road. Turn Left. After Driving 4 Km, Keep Right At The Intersection. After Driving Another 4.7km, Drive Over The Rail Track Again. Pass The River. After Around 1km, Turn Right On The Road. Drive Another 2.5km And Turn Right. Follow That Road To The Site. The Kristina Mine Was In Production From 1903-1907. During This Period The Mine Produced 652,000 Pounds Of Copper. The Property Was Idle Until 1952, When Surface Diamond Drilling Took Place. The Drilling Continued Until 1956 And Confirmed An Inventory Of 370,000 Tons At 1.92 Copper. Exploration And Mining Were Completed From Six Shafts Over A Strike Length Of 3,800 Feet, In A Shear Zone Containing Chalcopyrite, Minor Pyrite And Galena In Quartz Veins. The Mine Was Abandoned In 1958.
