Operational Access Description: Access; Proceed From The Junction Of Hwy 65 And 66 East Of Matachewan To Native Reserve Road For 0.4km. Travel North For 5.1km On Reserve Road, Take Road To Right And Head West 1.6km And Follow To Browning Lake. Site Is An Open Cut At The End Of The Road. Occurrence; N1/2 W. Shore Of Browning Lake, 30 Metres From Shore.; Commodity: Barium. Observation In 2000: Large Open Cut, Grown In With Vegetation. Possibly Adit Or Large Blast For Purpose Of Open Slash Mining. No Sign Of Adit Opening, Face Covered In Rubble. Evidence Of Rock Bolts And Screen At Top And Side Of Open Cut. Pit To The North Of Site, West Of Browning Lake, Was Not Found.
