Operational Access Description: Access; Proceed From Hwy 11, 1km North Of The Junction With Hwy 66 And Take The First Turn East On The North Side Of Blanche River Bridge. The Road Is Argo Amphibious Vehicle Only And In Winter It Is Part Of The Ofsc Trail System. Follow The Trail North North East For 4km To Goldthorpe Road. Continue East 2.2km To Armer Lake And Turn North. Travel North 2.3km To Excavator Track West And Then 400m To Trail North, Turning West For 400m To Shaft At Nw End Of Davis Lake. Alternately, Start At East End Of Goldthorpe Road At Macassa Mine-this Route Is Equally Mucky. Raw Prospect; Circa 1920's 2 Compartment Shaft Sunk To 38 Metres, 12 Metres Drifting. Second Shaft Sunk Later In 1930's.; Commodity: Gold; Duplicate Amis Site #1020. Year 2000, Found One Shaft With Large Muck Pile Suggesting Depth Over 30m.
