Operational Access Description: Access; Western Part Of Hutchinson Township, North Shore Of Eastern Part Of Sapawe Lake, Shaft Is Located On Claim Bj118. To Gain Access Proceed North From Hwy. 11 On Hwy. 623 To Sapawe. Continue North On Bush Road, Crossing The Atikokan River And Traveling For 1.2km On The Bush Road On The Left, Follow It West To A Pipeline. Proceed Down The Pipeline 3km To A Trail On The North Side Of Pipeline Trail Leading To The Shaft. History: From 1900-1903 Pitting And Trenching Took Place, A Shaft Was Sunk To 39 Feet And A Three Stamp Mill Was Erected. In 1928 Stripping, Trenching And Cleaning Up Of The Shaft Area. Between 1930 And 1934 Shaft Was Continued To 92 Feet With Level At That Depth On Which 50 Feet Of Crosscutting Was Done. Considerable Amount Of Diamond Drilling And Installation Of 25-ton Amalgamation Mill. In 1967/68 Surface Work And Diamond Drilling Was Done. Several More Recent Test Pits (1960's). The Only Production Records Are Of The Year 1934, Where A Reported 350 Tons Of Ore Were Milled, 21 Ounces Of Gold Produced, And 13 Ounces Of Silver. Commodity: Au,ag,cu; Year 2000 Survey Reports 1 Shaft Located During Field Visit. No Evidence Of Mill Is Located At The Site.
